Personally, while I like a good SBD, IMO, a clean audience tape is more rewarding because it really captures the sound of the venue, and gives you a better idea of what the show sounded like to the crowd, as opposed to the almost sterile sound of many SBDs. You can hear the interaction between the audience and the band in a much clearer way. Having said that, often indoor audience shows tend to get a little to much echo and sound bouncing around, so go for outdoor venues.I love Good Red Rocks Audience copies and a lot of the Greeks are excellent as well.

Actually any of the Betty boards are a mix of board and audience mikes on stage and are incredible.

Starting in 1987 virtually all soundboards were "Ultramatrix" recordings with audience mikes at the soundboard mixed in with soundboard recordings and usually had a mix of 15% audience and 85% board. Most are excellent.
